I have a lavamat washing machine I think the model is 6660 ? When switching the machine on I get a fault code E50 so unable to use the machine. What is does this code indicate?

E50 relates to problems with the motor,or related components.

The full Pnc or product number from the rating plate would help, should begin with 914………

PNC914 003 089 00 SERIAL No 52108707. Lavamat L66600.Type 92B BR AA10J.Have had motor checked out as OK. is it worth repairing or due to the age should I consider replacing it ? The washer generally is in good condition.

Can’t seem to locate that model Pnc?

Is it a brush gear motor or three phase?

At that age a brush gear motor should be long overdue for new brushes. It needs someone to run the diagnostics to determine exactly which E5* code it is.

Can be faults on the main pcb if motor is perfect.

Its an older type FHP motor I presume, part number 1320799016 fitted to these. As my learned friend previously posted its most likely the brushes are worn, or getting bad contact because of too much carbon on armature.
