    Hello 😉

    My Candy goc590c isn’t spinning. Belt is ok and no error messages – still heating just not spinning.
    I’ve ordered the 7.5uf capacitor but not sure if this will do it? Tested with a multi meter and get 0.00 each way.

    If the capacitor were at fault then the motor usually makes a humming noise as it is trying to turn. If you give the drum a helping hand whilst it is humming then usually it will then run as normal. However, if you allow the humming noise to continue for any length of time the motor windings will burn out and (in extreme cases) even catch fire!

    You cannot test a capacitor with a multimeter.

    It was humming – I did turn it by hand but nothing happened – was still full of clothes at the time. Let’s hope it’s the capacitor.
