    The programmes will scroll but the start button wont light when pushed. You can hear the switch clicking so I ordered and fitted a new main module which is separate to the start/setup board.The fault is still the same.Anyone got any ideas?

    had quick look around but cant find that model

    can find HDA8640 prod code 7676483842

    if its that one let me email will send you as much info as i can find

    if not let me have the prod number and i will go digging

    That’s the correct prod code Dave.If you need it the s/n is 09-102187-07.

    id suspect the wee start board think they are only a few pounds

    Did a 8601 last week borrowed 1/2 load surface mount switch for program switch if that helps

    yep ive done that. although i carry tactile switches as spares to solder on.

    Thanks guys. As the set-up board was so cheap (£12.52+vat)I replaced it and everything works fine. The interesting thing is that the start switch meters out ok,so it must been a board fault,probably the chip.
