ParticipantHello there,
First post and all that!I wondered if anyone might be able to suggest the issue with a leaking Lamona dishwasher. Apologies if this has been asked before!
I moved into a place last year, the kitchen having been fitted under 3 years previously. Unfortunately the people before, who fitted it, didn’t leave any of the manuals/guarantee or anything.
The dishwasher has recently started leaking from the bottom of door during the cycle, although will complete without any standing water in the machine.
The seal at the bottom of the door has gone a bit ‘wavy’ and appears a bit warped. Could this be the cause of the problem? I can’t find a model number anywhere on the machine, either, which obviously won’t help when trying to buy a replacement!
Any suggestions much appreciated!
Thanks,

We’ll need the model number from the rating plate that should be on the door to help you.
Lamona are a brand so this can be from two or three different actual manufacturers.
Without that number, it’s going to be very hard if possible.

Cool, thanks, I’ll try and track it down.

I’ve tracked it down! It’s an HJA8630.
Do you think it could be the seal? Is it difficult to replace?
Thanks again for the help!

Okay, it’s a Beko built one.
So far as I am aware there are no common causes of a leak so it’s going to take some detective work Im afraid.
Usually where the leak is you will see traces of detergent residue, that’s what to start looking for but unless you can see any around the door seal the dishwasher will have to be drawn out and inspected more to track it down probably.
To see if the door is leaking, you can try putting a bit of newspaper (or similar) in front of it and see if you can spot any drips.
