Participanthi all,
Ive been a engineer for a good few years now and have established myself in the trade specialising in problem fault finding and finding answers to manafacturing faults direct to manafacturer.
a recent oppotuntity may give me the ability to open a traing centre in the suffolk area offering a proffesional enviroment to train the next generation of whitegoods engineers the “old school” way as i was as well as the moden laptop approch. Yet offer affordable courses set around each individul. Is there a industry here or are companys happy to continue sending out un trained engineers into customers houses? To be fair some of the guys coming to work at my firm boast multiple years exerience yet cant do basic testing or have any customer skills! Obviously i dont want to waste my time or money! so any comments would be most welcome! many thanksMarch 23, 2014 at 8:58 pm #411596Martin

Forgive my being a little sceptical but your grammer is riddled with spelling errors. I’m thinking your “old school way” may also contain a number of errors? What qualifications do you hold to convince us in the trade your training will be of any benefit?

but your grammer
Oh dear Martin, it’s grammar actually but I must concur, that has to be one of the worst constructed posts I have seen in a long time. It is riddled with spelling, grammar and syntax errors. :rolls:March 23, 2014 at 10:18 pm #411598Andy jones

:boops: How Embarrassing! Last night I dictated this post to my son who has A levels in English! Please accept my apologies! I only asked him as I cant type at any speed. A mistake on my behalf.
I will be sure to personally re-write the post if its a option? The “old school” quote is hilarious as I can honestly say not a direct quote from my lips!
Again please accept my apologies and any spelling or grammar mistakes in my reply!
kind regardsMarch 24, 2014 at 8:44 am #411600Martin

Hardly an auspicious starting introduction toward your new venture. Perhaps we had best pass over that and ask you (once again) as to what qualifications you have in this trade and to what qualification standards would your students attain on your course/s, NVQ’s etc?

A terrible start to a new venture i must agree!
Currently the qualifications i currently have are
City and guilds level 3 in electrical and electronic engineering
although will upgrade to level 5 for training.
17th edition part p
Miele, Bosch and Rangemaster approved and trained
Gas safe including LPG
I have been training engineers within my current employment also for the last 4 years.
Any advise onto other courses or qualifications i can gain would be much appreciated.
My end goal is to have student leave with City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Electrical and Electronic Servicing (Domestic Appliance Servicing)
And leave with some common sence!Really I am just putting my feelers out to see if its something the industry can use. Your overview of the trade as a whole is the best advice i can use.

Perhaps a good start for you would be to check out the competition? Graham Dixon, Eeesafe and the Training Academy, to name just three, are established in the industry. 😉
