ParticipantCan anyone help please? Turned on my washer dryer today to see all horizontal lights flashing, with the vertical spin light and red lock light on. I have searched the site but can’t seem to work out what error code this relates to?

Hi yes I did but it only shows a series of 5 fault code lights – my machine has 6 lights running from door lock to wash as shown in photo….

Ignore the door lock LED. 😉

Don’t ignore the door lock, it is used on this machine, that linked page is not that clear TBH. Only the bottom five vertical lights, including the door lock are used for error codes.
You have error F09 sadly, eeprom setup error.
It could be a faulty eeprom or a corrupted eeprom which needs re programming. 😥

Ooh sounds bad!! Is this something that can be repaired or replaced easily and at what cost? My husband has repaired our fridge / freezer and oven on many occasions with instructions……

Sadly no, the Indesit engineers can reset the eeprom with the software on their laptops which they withhold from the independent trade. You would need a one use only smart card (£20) and a card reader (£103) to reprogram it. If the eeprom is faulty then you would need a £100+ module as well.
You could try unplugging the machine for ten minutes, tightening all the connectors on the pcb then trying it again. If that fails then sending the pcb to EMW may be your best option, A quick Google will find them. 😉

Thank you for your help, I have already tried switching it off at the wall and it didn’t work :o( but hubby took it all apart and checked everything was where it should be, put it back together and hey presto it works!! Second load is now on and all appear ok?!? I have now signed up for a years warranty so if it happens again we can get an engineer out to fix it or replace it!!
