Our LG WD-1243FH Washer bought 12/2001 has developed a fault with the spin button not changing the speed, we have also lost a few of the indicator lights so have to guess a couple of options but we don’t use them much(like rinse hold)
As the default spin is 800 we have been living with this but if this is fixable withhout new boards might be worth doing.
The bigger problem is the door seal, this has gone at the top and has a hole in the side, I think it must have been like this for some time but no sight of water escaping, spotted today as the outer seal had come off the rim(probably out of ballance load) and needed reseating.
Will run another load later and watch carefully to see if we are loosing water or just lucky.
It appears that this seal is discontinued any chance I will be able to find and fit one or is there a pattern part that will fit?
We have had good years out of this washer and it seems a shame to have to replace as it should have some life in it as we are not heavy users as there are just the 2 of us.
was going to try a test cycle but as the spin button does not work that does not happen(press rinse+spin then power on).
