ParticipantThere’s a load of guys contributing in the public forums recently that are or appear to be trade, they may of course be educated members of the public helping their fellow man.
We need to try and encourage these guys to get involved in the trade forums.
I know of at least one guy here in Exeter that came across ukw and had no clue at all of how to get involved, and that’s here in the unpopulated interbreading Devon :eeek:
How about some kind of monthly prize thing that will draw more trade guys in to signing up and contributing ? I think (well I know) we can get this sponsored, so, any ideas please ?
What would be a good incentive (prize is the wrong word) to sign up and contribute ?
Dave.

If they don’t sign up, we’ll send Gegsy round…..
My mate Dave signed up, and didn’t twig he had to ask for trade access and I did it for him, Dave’s spotted “Knowlesie” tonight and invited him in, yet I seem to recall that I just sent in the company details with my registration and got set loose straight away.
How about a box in registration for trade or public – tick the box for trade and it goes to a “Fill in your company details here” routine?

POST OF THE WEEK UKW T SHIRTS fOR each of the TRADE forums along with a mug shot of the winners wearing the shirt in the album section.
Perhaps for the winner of the OFF TOPIC FORUM, POST OF THE WEEK ! we could ask Kev Heath to donate his UKW Thong briefs. 😆

Keep the suggestions coming please, this could be interesting and it’s always nice to hear what’s wanted.
Chris that’s a damn good idea but it involves specialist coding to do it so it’s now filed under “when I get time from Trevor”. 😉

Bonus Ball ?
Each subscriber is alloted a number (1 to 49) mid-week National Lottery Draw Bonus Ball, the winning number cops the lot that week 💡
As the subscriber numbers increase we include the Saturday Draw as well 😀
Any numbers drawn but not allocated means a ‘rollover’ to the next draw.
Payout being a cheque in the post to the lucky winner.

A better idea for rewarding would be say a weeks free banner ad for the company somewhere on the front page.
Not a lot of cost involved and no monies changing hands.

Only snag with that Bryan is simply that many members wish to remain anonymous ( including yourself I believe 😉 )…. ❓
Besides, we are all up for repairs@ and don’t want to be overun with work now do we 🙂

ok…whats best?
Sharing or being greedy?
Lets say we had a £7000 van to give away once a year…would you want that..or would you rather share, say £500 a month based on what you post and do….perhaps extending the idea to using the prize to take your staff out for a meal and a drink or two. Those with no staff will be quids in.
This is a real question. Whilst we have on paper our ideas we don’t have yours….nows your chance to speak out.
Kevin
PS…of course you have to realize that there will be razzamataz to this and advertising will of course be done on this site to promote the sponser and the winners…therefore anonymous members will have to consider their options.
