Is this correct? a colleague told me today that a customer told him that when he fitted brushes to his bosch (don’t have model number) the w/m didn’t work, he then phoned bosch and got through to the service department. they told him that on certain models, if you unplug the motor it results in the module memory being wiped!
    It sounds like garbage but…….

Possibly talking about having to do the reset procedure for the pcb after changing brushes etc, well documented on the forums.

Proberbly correct if the user tried to operate the machine with the motor unplugged (Depending on the model), which would be registered as a fault

I think you misunderstood the OP’s post George and, as Jim states, it is well documented throughout the tech forum. For example : Clearing an F21 (motor brushes error) using the 6 o’clock/ 7 o’clock routine doesn’t always work unless you unplug the motor THEN do the reset procedure. That is to what ‘Bosch tech’ refer I think you’ll find. 😉

Do a tech forum search for F21, 😉
