I have been to repair an indesit washing machine today that has a fault on the control module it just keeps taking in water and pumping it out at the same time so water valve energized and pump running just wondered if anyone would know what component on the board is causing this problem i thought it may be a triac shorted out but not sure any help would be good Thanks Larry.

Hi Larry have done a few of these by just cleaning the carbon dust build up off the board and it cured the fault, I use a small brush and a keyboard vacuum

If that was the case it would not be ‘pumping the water out’. This is a very common fault on Indesit pcb’s, EMW may have some idea of which components have failed, not sure if they will share it though.
