ParticipantHI CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME, I AM S INGLE MUM WITH 2 KIDS AND A WASHING MACHINE THATS NOT WORKING. I CHANGED THE SEAL YESTERDAY TOOK ME ALL DAY MIND YOU BUT I DID IT, I WENT TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND I HAVE NOTICED A BROWN WIRE FROM THE DOOR THAT HAS COME OFF SOMEWHERE I PRESUME THIS IS WHY MY MACHINE IS TOTALLY DEAD. I HAVE GOT NO IDEA WHERE THIS WIRE GOES, IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME I WOULD BE VERY VERY GRATEFULL AS I HAVE LOTS OF CLOTHES TO WASH!!!!!

I goes to the Door Interlock switch, there are 3 terminals on the switch, your brown wire is the missing one 😉
For safetys sake MAKE SURE YOU PULL THE PLUG FIRST!! :zap:

HI THANKS BUT NEED A LITTLE MORE LIGHT TO THE PROBLEM, I HAVE THE WIRE COMING FROM THE DOOR LOCK ITSELF BUT UNSURE OF WHERE TO LOOK TO PUT IT DO IT NEED TO COME UP TOWARDS THE TOP OF THE WASHING MACHINE SHALL I FOLLOW THE OTHER WIRES???

How many wires are connected to the on off switch? if in doubt call an engineer

I KNOW WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR TO CONNECT IT HOWEVER IM NOT SURE WHERE TO BE AIMING FOR 😕

KeymasterThe door lock is just behind the bit the catch on the actual door slots into. You may have to pop off the seal and release the retaining screws to get to it.
Remember the plug pulling as that’s live there!

ParticipantOK WELL I HAVE TAKEN OFF THE DOOR TO GET TO THE DOOR LOCK THERE IS A RED WIRE COMING FROM IT WHICH IS ATTACHED TO SOMEHTING AND A BLACK WIRE WHICH IS ATTACHED TO SOMETHING THE BROWN WIRE IS ATTACHED TO THE DOOR LOCK BUT DONT KNOW WHERE IT GOES I APPRECIATE ALL HELP THAT HAS BEEN GIVEN BUT I THINK I HAVE BEEN DEFEATED, I CAN CERTAINLY EMAIL PICTURES OF WHAT I AM LOOKING AT IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE IT GOES, MANY THANKS TO YOU ALL

Have a look at the on/off switch – it’s next to the timer. tell us how many wires are connected to it and what colour they are.
