So, after a frustrating morning of taking the machine to pieces and searching countless numbers of images, I admit defeat.

Last night the ‘check water’ light came on. This morning I have finally managed to remove the lid and the side panel. The water inlet has some debris trapped in part of it and I want to be able to remove it for cleaning. The inlet is very clearly attached to the machine by the circular inlet/outlet(?) in the centre. Is there any way to remove this? My brute force and ignorance technique is likely to require a new dishwasher…

Not the correct model number (ENr no) so please look again and quote it’s full number.

Now sitting in the garden covered by a tarp. The dishwasher, not me…

Either the base plate is flooded and the anti flood device has tripped? Or the pump is blocked? Or the Impellor jug needs replacing? It’ll be one of those 3 possibilities.

Okay, thank you – but is there any way in which to remove the inlet ‘manifoldy’ thing for cleaning?

    Thanks

..otherwise known as the metering tank. No point doing anything further as there’s a build up of debris which means that SWMBO wouldn’t put any dishes into it, even if this isn’t the cause of the problem!

I wouldn’t mess with the metering tank to be honest, though it is simple to disconnect. The gunge is on the grey water side and is never an issue, certainly not a hygiene issue either. That ain’t broke so best not mend it. A new one will set you back 25 quid and will be just as grubby 6 months down the line. If you would like to fit a new one then just click HERE….. Your choice. 😀
