My Siemens TXL 2402 condenser dryer has a problem.
When switched on, the display only shows ‘—‘.
It doesn’t react to any buttons pushed, it keeps showing ‘—‘.
To see if it’s completely dead, I followed instructions in the manual for switching between current limits of 10 and 16 Ampere, this still works great, the display shows either 10 or 16.
    So it’s still alife!
Pulling the plug, waiting 15 minutes and connecting/switching on again didn’t help.
Why is it showing the ‘—‘?
Is this an indication something is wrong or is it just catatonic?

    essie,

No idea 😕 cannot find that model of machine, are you sure you have given us the right model number?

What numbers are written on the inside door panel anyway!

    Hi Martin,

    It says:
    E-Nr WTXL2402NL/07 FD 8411 200949

On the machine itself it says TXL2402.
    This is a Dutch machine.

    It’s alife again! 😛
I repeatedly switched on the machine while pressing 1 or 2 buttons, and rorating the dial.
Suddenly it showed the remaining time and started working.
After switching off/on it still worked, so hallelujah!

I would suspect the door interlock personally, — in the display usually indicates that the door is open.

    Dave.
