hi, I was wondering if you can help.
my washer recently stopped working midway thru a wash cycle. control board not responding. so I reset main pcb by switching off and then on again. program selector will select a program and start to fill drum but then stays idle after making a clunck noise. drum is rotating free when I spin it with my hand. I took the top cover off and found that the dc module is shot/tracks burnt out and some components on main pcb are burnt out too (behind start/pause button).. what is the likely cause of this. is there anyway I can test motor to see if that is ok before replacing pcb and dc module.
    many thanks.

Check motor windings with an insulation tester the way forward. Plus other components such as heater, wiring harness damage and the pump of course. All can cause the modules to blow…..! 🙁
