Hi can you tell me if the thermostatic control unit can be changed
on the Beko ca5410w Fridge Freezer. As I have heard that the file
is mounted within the unit insulation and it cannot be changed out.
    So can you please advise.

    Regards,
    Mike.

The thermostat is easy to replace, you are getting confused with the electronic controlled models with a foamed in sensor.

The thermostat phial just pushes down the small tube just make sure it goes all the way down the tube.

Mark the old one before you pull it out.

Then Just mark it the same length as the old one and make sure it feeds in all the way to the mark.

Hi Bob thanks for your associated reply to my Beko Fridge Freezer ca 5410w model. I cannot find a wiring diagram but I have by a process of elimination managed to link out the thermostat control. This enables the compressor to run for a little longer, but still ‘cuts out’. Do you have any further tests I can try ( I am an competent electrician ) Can I bypass the overload and or the ptc relay and directly connect the power supply to the compressor for a short period to test the compressor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Mike………

If you have bypassed the thermostat and the compressor only runs for a short time then the compressor is cutting out on the thermal overload and you will need a new compressor.
