ParticipantHi
New to this forum, have read all the posts related to the Hoover H160E but I am still stuck,Sorry its a bit long winded as I have checked everything I can before posting.
The machine recently failed with a faulty heater element, I replaced it and it worked fine for 2 complete washes, then on the 3rd wash it stopped after draining, the superwash and start lights keep flashing 3 times,
I checked and the water had drained ok, tried the wash again and it appears to time out after draining without going in to its spin cycle, the drum goes back and forth as its emptying for a few seconds at a time before the it stops, checked the drain and filter and all appears to be ok, checked the pump and again it appears to be pumping water ok,
Checked the time clock and again it appears to be ok,
Even if I set it to just drain or spin the water empties fine but stops with the same error, the pressure switch does operate ok when it fills and empties!A couple of things I am not sure about, the pressure switch has 2 make contacts which appear to make one after the other, I can only detect the make on to the yellow wire (P/PN) but not to the red wire (A/PS) not sure if this is the issue as it is to dow with it filling and it appears to fill to the normal level ok,
The second thing is although the pump appears to work ok the motor has a resistance of 190 ohm and reading one of the other posts a new pump had a reading of 210 ohms, don’t know if the electronics detect the resistance and throw up a fault if its not correct?
I know this machine is a few years old but I am baffled, any help would be appreciated,

fault 3 is pump time out ie it still thinks it is full of water after 3 mins
this could be
1 soap blockages in pressure chamber
2 stuck pressure switch
3 bad connections to timer pcb from pressure switchobviously the pcb is also suspect but you have to eliminate everything elase before thaT
