Smeg DF614 SF Dishwasher

I have the Purchased the Smeg DL614 on eBay. The dishwasher has developed a fault.
If I start a wash program the pump pumps the the water out from the previous faulty sequence, Fills for a while all OK, Then after a few minutes a kind off electrical burning smell starts and a strange clunky noise occurs. There are no fault codes but the dishwasher doesn’t clean anything or appear to spray internally. The dishwasher won’t pump any water out after the initial start up pumping sequence. I eventually just turn the power off as there’s isn’t any internal cleaning or pumping occurring. The pump has proved it’s OK as it pumps on a start up of a program. Is the motor the part which sprays the water inside the dishwasher and is this separate to the pump? Any help would be appreciated.
