The oven stat has 3 terminals and seems to be a two stage stat with one side clicking out at around 80 to 100 degrees.
Does the top outer element come on with the fan element to assist with pre-heat or am I barking up the wrong tree?? 😕

    Thanks for any help

    Hiya,
Looks like a switch and thermostat combined. The switch brings on the fan, the thermostat part controls the element (along with the selector switch).

    Hope it helps

Hiya & Thanks for your reply.

The oven fan comes on without the stat being operated via the selector switch. At ambient temp and turning the spindle, there is a definite click at around 80 to 100C with the centre terminal to one of the outers then going open circuit????

    Thanks again

    Hiya,
There’s not a lot in this diagram.
Across 1 and 3, it’s the neutral to the fan.
1 and 2, thermostat to the elements (common across the elements).
All the elements are shown to be switched from the selector switch.

If 1 and 3 on the thermostat goes open circuit, the fan should stop.

    There are variations of the terminal numbering, P1, 2 and 1 , 1, 2 and 4 etc.
