This tumble dryer has a clunking noise when cold, when it’s warmed up it goes quieter.

I had a look at it, couldn’t find anything obvious. The motor and fan ran so quiet and smooth.

The drum feels a slight rumble when you turn it round, I am assuming the shaft bearing is worn. After having a look on the part list, I can’t seem to put a finger on what really causing the clunking noise. There’s no excessive movement on the drum.

Anyway I have ordered new bearings kit and see what happens. This tumble dryer is two years old, I thought it was odd as these are usually very well made and I have very little bother with White Knight.

dont think it will be the bearing but i can be wrong

have you looked at the rivets at the back of the drum which is a common problem. look at the drum see if it looks like its catching( look for scrape marks )
watch it go round and see if its in the same place evary time. if its a bearing it will vary if its the drum it wont

    hope it helps
