    Hi folks,

    I’ve got a Whirlpool ADP4403 dishwasher which has been making a clunking / banging / clicking noise during the wash cycle. At first I noticed that the detergent door wasn’t opening, so just put the tablet in the cutlery tray, and the wash quality was fine.

    As time has gone on, the wash quality is worse and worse – mostly cups and glasses marked on the inside, but lately also a dust / sand on the outside.

    Both arms spin fine, and appear to be free from blockages. Nothing blocking the gauze to the sump.

    Any thoughts ?

    Fixed it 😀

    Blocked filter and pump !

    Pump must have been using too much energy to turn, so was cutting the dispenser door solenoid on and off, causing the banging.

    All working perfect now – very clean wash, and dispenser door even works again.

    Hope this helps anyone else with the same issue – clean all the filters !!
