ParticipantGood afternoon I hope someone can help.
My machine washes fine, drains fine, and spins fine. When it enters the drying cycle I now get an error at random times. The fault lights are blank, blank, solid, solid, blank (reading down vertically. On the fault light diagnosis guide this means
F06 Not used
This fault code is unused and should not be displayed – out of all the ones it had to be this lol.I’ve had the top off and disconnected the thin black pressure hose and blew down it – there was some resistance – like blowing into a balloon but not blocked – is this typical?
It still can dry I just have to keep restarting the cycle until my clothes are done. I’m happy replacing parts etc. but am at a loss diagnosing the fault. It’s never happened whilst washing, spinning or draining – only ever on the drying cycle.many thanks

We discovered some time ago that there is an F06.
Possible that some lists have not been updated.
Allowing for the fact Indesit electronics are extremely unreliable and can give spurious error messages F06 is supposed to be,
Door lock fails to close / open, door lock PTC triac open/ closed, mains frequency signal fault, mains power signal fault.
– Check for water leaks that may affect connectors J004 or J11
(three-phase) causing the relative contacts to short;
– Check Door lock terminal board (any problems due to
aggression caused by manufacturing chemical residues that may
cause short circuits);
– Check J004 / door lock wiring;
– Check door lock;
– Renew PCB.You are counting the bottom five vertical lights ignoring the top one?

Thanks for your response but it doesn’t add up.
I can’t see how it’s a door lock problem as every thing else functions ok.
There are three drying settings on machine 11 cottons, 12 synthetics and 13 wool. I only get the problem when I dry on setting 11, it’s fine on the other two – could it be some kind of over temperature sensor kicking in somewhere?Reading lights from bottom up it’s
F12 Washing machine display and control modules fail to communicate
Check electronic modules and connections.
So I should take pcb out and reseat everything? – is there a guide to do that anywhere?

Well it wouldn’t add up if you first say it is F06 and now say it is F12 would it. 😉
To clarify, if you have the END and FINAL SPIN lights flashing it is F06, if you have the WASH and RINSE & SPIN lights flashing it is F12.
This is ‘supposed’ to be a communications error so checking and tightening up all of the wiring connectors by gently squeezing the connector plugs on both pcb’s is the first step, there are no guides to this, it is a simple thing to do. If that fails then once again it is likely to be a fault on the main pcb. There is no over temperature control as such but poor connections or failing components can break down as things inside warm up.

The ones that are lit are the dry and spin lights.

The manual actually shows washer controls , not washer dryer ones for some strange reason but It is an F12 fault.
