Hotpoint BHWM129UK

Hi, todays disaster! Hotpoint b/in w/m that does the following: Turn on, set prog, press start and 1. the door lock goes clunk and locks the door ( it is fitted with one of those instant finshing can open the door locks that clunk click noise ) and m/ch fills with h2o and MIGHT ( 2 out of 3 washes it works ok )get to finish its cycle or 2. may run up to any length of time and then the start/pause light button starts to flash- i.e on pause and then if this button, start/pause, is pressed again the m/ch will not start again to activate the door lock or 3. the machine simply will not start to begin with with the start/pause button flashing away. Now does anyone know if this is a fairly typical i/lock swt failure or a fairly typical fascia pcb problem ( or even neither ) and if the latter I take it that this board does not have to be programmed unlike the the power pcboard at the back r/h/side. Any ideas please? Thx.
