ParticipantHi all
Currently struggling with a dodgy frost-free blomberg fridge freezer (and my man is away for another 3 months so no real help from that direction).
The fan and the pump seem to come on as and when they feel like it, so that the freezer is ‘sort of cold’ and the top of the fridge is coolish.
As it appears to be working some of the time, I am a bit loather to get rid just yet. could it be the thermostat that is having issues? I tried to look for spare parts but on the manual there is no indication of a model number, useful! What is more, blomberg don’t appear to have a website, and I can’t seem to access the site of their parent company as it is in Turkish! 😕
If any one could offer any advice, i would be most grateful
Bye for now, Headmistress

Blomberg is the brand name used by Comet, it could be one of a few manufacturers.
If you could check inside the fridge for the model number (next to the salad bin normally) I’ll check out a bit more info for you.
Dave.

Hi
Try this it may help but if the problem reappears then it will be a engineers visit i’m afraid.
Turn the appliance off for 24 hrs with the freezer door open and then close the doors and restart the appliance as normal, dont refill for andother 24 hrs to make sure the freezer does go back down to -21.
Yes you will have to find somewhere for your frozen food but it may well cure your problem without the need for a engineer visit.

Hi!
Thanks for the replies. The model of my fridge freezer is BC272NF.
As for switching off the daft thing, I will try that out. I am not at all concernered about the frozen food (mostly defrosted anyway)- it is currently colder outside the backdoor than in the fridge or freezer!
Thanks again! 😆headmistress
