ParticipantHi.
Went to see one of these tumble dryers a couple of weeks ago with no heat even on a time only dry. Heater and thermostats all ok, no power being switched to heater by control board. Ntc ok and everything else I could think of ok. Suspect pcb.
Been and fitted a new pcb today. No change, rechecked everything I could think of.
Anybody got any clues on this one? All help appreciated
Thanks, Jon

Just wondering if you found the solution of this problem.
I’me working at one that heats for about 1 minute at the start of any program setting including timed. For the rest of the time it goes cool air.
It passes all tests Using the diagnostics procedure.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks for reading.

check the ntc on the heater if its outside limits you get no heat if you have one hook an old wma heater ntc on to test it. I’ve got the resistances somewhere I ‘ll see if I can find them.

Normally on them its the heater NTC low to earth that causes problems, you may be lucky to get away with changing heater only, sometimes needs P.C.B too.
New style heater with upgraded NTC part number is 297010150
P.C.B part number is 2970010601May 5, 2016 at 1:56 pm #414133Tom

Thanks to Wilf & seamy for quick replies.
Not feeling too smart here as when I got to work on it I found the Condenser very blocked up so very little airflow to heater. Customer didn’t know it needed cleaning.
Thorough wash out & all seems well at the moment.
A case of expecting the worst before I got there; crossing bridges before getting to them.

Ok that figures, be aware that a badly blocked condenser would normally make excess moisture present on heater which will cause NTC to be low.
