hoover HFOE5485W fridge with freezer compartment

We have recently bought one of these fridges with a small freezer compartment. The manual is rather woeful with regard to instructions, and we can’t see how to go about defrosting the freezer compartment.

We can see that the fridge part ‘auto-defrosts’ but it’s not obvious whether this also applies to the freezer and where the water goes if it does, and whether we need to capture it somehow.

Can anyone offer any assistance please ?
