    Hi all

My ‘not draining’ light is coming on and I’m trying to check the filter for blockages, as I have often done before. However, this time the filter itself has separated from the front end – the threaded part that screws the unit shut/open.

So I’ve removed the threaded disc and large spring and plastic backplate, but behind that is the filter unit stuck in position.

Any advice on how to remove it? I’ve gently prised around the edge (rubber ringed) and while it has released a flow of water, it hasn’t dislodged the filter.

I don’t want to use brute force without seeking advice first – though I have given the filter a tug using a vice grips, to no avail.

    Best wishes

Most likely theres something stuck inside preventing it from unscrewing correctly, you will have to take complete filter unit & pump off to get it stripped i’d imagine.
