ParticipantHi. Hope someone can shed some light on this.
I have replaced many parts over the years, heating element, door gasket, shock absorbers, motor. This current fault has me stumped and I can’t find a service manual anywhere.
Set program to No2, it goes through and does all rinse and drain cycles (including an extra one someone activated) but when it reaches the final spin, it just spins the program wheel to 1 and starts a whole new wash cycle.
The label shows this.

Thanks.

Three possibilities I can think of…
1) The programme knob has cracked and is selecting the wrong programme?
2) The 25 year old timer has got worn out cams and corroded switch contacts?
3) The black rubber sump hose where it leads to the air pressure bottle is gunged up?
Beyond that I have little recollection as I haven’t seen one of these machines for 10 years or more….!!! 😯

Thanks Martin. Will investigate along those lines this weekend.
Yes its old but I only use it in the garage to wash car cleaning towels and my overalls. Hope its a cheap fix.
Thanks again.July 1, 2014 at 6:02 pm #415234Rob3rto

Finally got round to removing timer to check what you suggested but I can’t see a way into it.

Thanks anyway for your help.

Why not contact EMW Electronics to see if they can sort it for you? 😉

If I can definitely say its the timer at fault, maybe worth it, but a 25 year old machine? What else will go wrong?
I’ll call them and see on price and take it from there. Thanks for link. -
