I’m trying work out if a 2008 Med Roof Swb transit van with 57k miles on the clock is worth £7500 plus VAT? According to the price guide it says £7100 but did not say including VAT.

So am I spot on with the price or is it simply too pricey?

    Thanks Martin,

The mileage is too high and it is the wrong spec. I wanted a medium roof to save on my back when shuffling washing machine in the back.

Try your local ford agent and ask about there part exchange vans.

A friend of mine just bought a 2008 transit off the local Ford agent with 49600 miles before they sent It off to auction as it is over 3 years old, only vans up to three years old kept on the forecourt.

He paid £4300 plus vat he knows the salesman but he told him Ford only give £2500 for it in part exchange plus Vat.

It had 2 owners but full Ford service history it was overdue for a service by 4,500 miles
So he took it to his local garage and had it serviced and the only thing they found wrong with it was the disc pads needed changing and it looks like new.

    Worth a try.

Turns out to be very difficult to get one, there is one in Coventry previously owned by EON but decided not to go for it as it would have been abused by their heavy handed drivers.

I managed to negotiate a deal with the garage and secured the van.
