It will cost you £35 to claim via the SC court procedure. So your call really.

I’ve always has a judgement awarded but never got the money. For 45 quid I wouldn’t bother personally but it is easy enough to do on line these days. Getting the threat of a CCJ can often make them pay up before starting court proceedings. That is where I have scored 🙂

I always tell them you sell all depts to a dept recovery company.
Tell her it is no longer your problem then but the dept recovery company take goods if they cannot get payments and she can end up with a dept running into hundreds of pounds as they add there cost to the dept.
I find this works and I always find the customer pays up.
You will not be able to use this this time as you have told her you will use the small claim court.
I always make it clear of my charges and that I take payment on the visit before visiting.

I would do it just out of principle. Once the official court form drops through their letterbox they will probably pay up + they need to pay your costs as well. If not more than likely they will not attend and you will win anyway…whether you get your money from them is another matter but at least you will have messed up their credit rating (assuming it isn’t already). I took a Viscount (not rhyming slang!) to court just out of principle for £49.00.
