Indesit WIDXL126S dryer lint filter modification

Hi,

I’ve been to one of these washer/dryers and found the dryer lint filter has come loose and been smashed up by the drum so needs to be replacing. The lint filter itself seems easy enough to find as a spare, but I’m coming across references to ‘post modification’ but no details. Has there been a modification done in this area that anyone is aware of? I’ve seen this happen on a couple of machines now so maybe it’s a known problem with a mod to fix it?
