ParticipantHi
Wondering if anyone can help. I have a Bosch SRS43C12GB/14 which is not finishing the cycle. By this I mean the end light comes on but the “Circulation pump” is still running (albeit sounds a little grindy)
If I open the door there is a gurgling sound and about 1 cm of water re-enters the sump.
I guess it could be the circulation motor or seals???What I have checked.
I have cleaned and checked the float and micro-switch, the pressure diaphragm & switch. Cleaned the matrix?? I think its called next to the float. Removed the sump impeller and checked for debris and blockages. Tried to remove the circulation pump but I don’t think I can get it out without major dismantling as its too tight to the floor of the machine to twist the knuckle).
It fills and empties through the cycle so most things sound like they are working.
Not sure if its related but we had an engineer round a month ago to fit the recall fix to it, he said he pat tested it and recommended we needed a suppressor replacing but we chose not to as we assumed its was their way of getting money back for recall visit.
Thanks in advance for any feedback

If it is the circulating pump that is still running at the end and NOT the drain pump then I would suggest there is a problem with the control module. If it’s the drain pump that is operating instead, then it is the anti-flood device operating.
I take it this fault was not apparent immediately after the control module was replaced by the recall agency?

They didn’t replace the control module. All they did was scotch clip a white box to some cables.
As for the pump, its the large one that is front right bottom as I look at the front of the machine, with the solenoid attached to it.
Flood device (red rod) not lifted and float is not raised either. Hardley any water left in machine and none in the flood device chamber.June 18, 2014 at 10:58 am #415376Martin

I’m not familiar with scotch clips or what that white box may be? In most cases the recall was to replace the control module which I thought included the model you have.
But anyway, it appears now that the control module is at fault to cause this symptom, probably? I asked earlier but you didn’t mention if the fault was apparent immediately after the recall fix or has developed since?

It had been playing up before they did the recall fix. It started playing up and not finishing before they came TBH. When I saw the recall on TV I assumed that my problem was related to the recall(motor not shutting off and getting very warm sounded a fair guess for machines catching fire etc)
scotch clips “self stripping cable wire connectors”
Basically they seem to have attached the white box which is about 1″ x 1″ x 1″ to 2 cables on the control panel with scotch clips.June 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm #415378Martin

Thanks for the info on that.
The fires were as a result of the control unit overheating and catching fire. The control units were replaced on those listed in the recall notice. However I was unaware of the specific ‘mod’ that has been carried out on your machine. Very interesting. 😀
