    My Bosch classixx 1200 express is 8 years old, last few washes a grinding noise developed as the drum turned. Today the drum doesn’t turn at all. Machine goes through cycle ok, water enters and drains fine. Belt looks fine. Model No WAE24162GB/03 refers. Any suggestions before I call on a costly technician?

    The motor brushes need replacing. For a local independent repairer to sort it won’t really be costly at all! 😀
