KeymasterAnother one this week that there should be a BOLO out for, or, Bo On The Lookout for…
Flakes
Had one this past week that was flooding the kitchen. Killing the cat. Flooding the downstairs neighbour, Endangering the children as they might drown in the torrent of water… you get the picture.
Engineer calls, no leak. No evidence of a leak.
Calls again as a recall. Then again. And, again. Then again. Nothing, nadda.
Turns out the silly mare was using soap flakes as she wanted to be environmentally friendly or just liked them, whatever.
They cannot be used in an auto front loader, it’s says so right there on the bl00dy packet!!
They congeal to a gel (quickly) block the dispenser hose and, mega leak as the machine thinks it’s still filling… yeah, the kitchen with water.
By the time the repairer gets there, nothing, it’s all dissipated.
Gels
Another one, leaking from the SD. Much bruhaha, claiming the manufacturer for damage to this that and the next thing, compensation, breach of human rights or, was that the SoGA as I get the two confused when customers start the legal Gatling gun up as they just throw everything at it…
Again, claims for damage, compensation, it’s a danger, killing the kids, the planet and whatever else.
It’s was damned gel in the SD liquid section and, if they’d read the damn pack it says, you can only put it in the drum, in the dispenser that it bl00dy well comes with.
These gels cannot dissolve fast enough to be dispensed so, water flows in, can’t flow out properly so spills over the top of the SD drawer. Of course by the time you get to it, there’s no evidence of what they’ve done.
My advice, ask them what they did before you start chasing down faults that don’t exist.
Even better, ask them on the phone before you go and save yourself a lot of grief. 😉
Or, go out and charge them for being dumb and remind them of that old chestnut, RTFM.
