Keymasteri rang indesit with h2o error code, did their reset and still h2o flashing.
i understand that this is slow filling or low water pressure,so i removed the flexi inlet pipes turned taps on,on the plumbing circuit and still had the same rate of flow as with the sink taps off.
checked for obvious bits stuck in places.
the helpline said could be solinoids in the inlet, how likley is this and are they expensive and a pain in the bum to fit?
£69 seems expensive to call them out.
thanks in advanceray

ray,
Very unlikely that the inlet solenoid valves are at fault in this case. More likely your water supply needs close attention?
What ‘head of water’ do you have there anyway? The machine really requires at least 1 bar pressure though and in my experience 1.5 to 2 bar are the norm. You could always join both hot and cold feed pipes (using a Y connector) to the cold supply only 💡

and the tale contnues…….we had a engineer out, a total of 5 diffrent engineers in 7 seprate calls until mr lets call him attiude turns up, says we have low water pressure(had plumbed a direct line from the mains)thumb over hose but cant tell me what pressure machine operates at, cant tell me what pressure we have,”i`m a engineer not a plumber”over and over while still insiting that we have low water pressure(thumb not calibrated) any after being told on the phone what parts to order he says as you have low etc…. im leaving if you call out a engineer again you will be charged for every call and parts used(offical indesit engineer i should add), last thing he said was “if you know so much why dont you fix it your self” as i asked questions based on this site!!!!. sent letter to indesit that they recived on 4th april 05, no reply as yet, got a senior eng out he after leaving because the dept would not answer his call got them to agree to replace machine. new machine faulty, counted down to 001 and stayed there. next new machine all ok so far, still no reply from indesit and only £70 out of pocket.

Thanks for the up-date on this, no surprises on the response by the way from “the engineer” 😆
Love the “thumb over the hose” theory by the way. (If you can in fact stop the flow of water simply by pressing your thumb over (say) the end of a garden hose direct from the mains – then the pressure may well be very low indeed) 😯
In fact modern washing machine inlet valves are supposed to tolerate a variance of between 5 p.s.i – minimum(0.33 bar) and 105 p.s.i – maximum (7.5 bar). Many however fail to even work at ‘the norm’ usually set at around 21 p.s.i (1.5 bar) – a level that most nationwide water companies are obliged to provide each household that is connected to mains water!
Would it be inappropriate of me at this stage to enquire as to why you are £70 “out of pocket” on the deal……(just being nosey really 😆 )

Its not nosey, its gathering info, we paid £70 for the 1st engineer but we now have a new machine so out of pocket? or am i just tight?.
our machine is supposed to work at 1 bar, i told the engineer that he did`nt know.
I`ll let you know when we recive a reply(if). 🙄 -
