Hi Guys, Bought a replacement water inlet valve assembly for an Electrolux Inspire washing machine model no EWN 14780W but can’t find a way to release the printed circuit board attachment spanning the inlet body. Would appear to be held in place by the exposed wire clip but how do I release this without breaking the casing?

I have no idea what you refer to as the valve shown HERE is just a straightforward swap over. 🙁

Thanks Martin, I already have the replacement valve as per your link but there is definitely a printed circuit board attahced to the origianl as per the photo attachment. Can’t see a relable way of removing it to reattach to the new valve. Any ideas?

It is only a latch fit and should slide off upwards (as in the photo orientation)

    Hi Martin,

I agree:it is a slide off latch fit but there is a powerful wire clip holding in position. It is this clip which poses the problem! Too strong to force off, there has to be a correct technique. Brute force will break the circuit board.

Solved! The wire pin pushes out towards the exposed end using a fine steel punch. Six year old granson’s sharp eyes could see the punch hole!!
