i’ve a problem with my dishwasher too.
over the last year it began stalling halfway through the washcycle intermitently ie say once a week.
now it will fill with water and then stop completely.
if left alone, the water level continues to rise until it begins to leak from the door.
any advice would be hugely appreciated, and any links to info for this model (i’ve searched but found nothing) more so!

    Hiya,
Can you post the 12 digit model number please? You’ll find it on the side of the door or on the plinth. Once we have that number we should be able to look up your specific machine.
    Thanks

Just a thought when you say it is left alone it fills up. It is possible if it is waste plumbed under the sink that it is back filling from the trap. When the grey hose leaves the sink does it go up before it goes down to the dishwasher?
If it goes into a standpipe this should not happen though.

    Re: whirlpool ADP136 dishwasher

The model number is ADP 136/7 WH.
There is definately no 12 digit number.
The filling up issue is only when the machine is put on a wash cycle. If left alone ie off, it doesn’t fill up.
i was wondering if it might be the water level detector that is faulty?
    and that’s a complete novice’s guess.

Sorry, I can’t find a machine listed with that model number.
Anyone else able to find it?

    Yeah, I remember these.

Leads in the door harness broken or the timer contacts burned out were the two most common problems.

Whip the plug from the socket 1st though :zap:

    Re: whirlpool ADP136 dishwasher

This modle has a small pressure bottle attached to the sump hose and a pressure switch off to the right of that.

The cause of your problem may lie here in this area, its not a DIY job if it involves the right side/fill chamber.

Try repairs@ or the directories for help finding a repairer.
