    Hello!

We have acquired a Frigidaire freezer, without a manual. We have been told once the green light comes on it is ready to use. However, an orange light is lit, and has been for a week!

Does anyone know if this means there is a problem with the appliance? We are having a nightmare with white goods at the moment, 2 fridges and a freezer have gone ‘kaput’ in the last 4 weeks!

Would appreciate some help if someone can? I have uploaded a pic of the info plate inside the freezer. I think the model is FVE229.

    Thanks in advance!

Re: HELP NEEDED WITH FRIGIDAIRE FREEZER!

    Hi

Normally freezers have three lights which are usually….

Red light = temperature to high in freezer could be due to large quantity of fresh food added.

Yellow or amber = fast freeze has been activated, there is usually a switch which operates this.

Green light = power is getting to the appliance.

Have you put a thermometer inside to check temperature? It should be -18 to -22 degrees C.

    HTH 🙂

    Don!

    Thank you! Very helpful!

The green light does not seem to be working, however the freezer is cold, therefore, we have power!

I shall get a thermometer to check the temperature 🙂

    Groovy!

    Charlotte
