Went to a cooker hood. its a Cata hd901ss. basically the same motor and controls as a Baumatic HJA2240 and other models.

Ordered motor 15102006, which is quite a common one.

Lost the bloody piece of paper I’d made with the wiring connections. Idiot!

Motor has 6 wires, most are obvious red>red, blue>blue, black>black, I’m left with an orange, a white and a brown,

White, I think, goes, along with the brown cap wire, to the incoming live. orange,I think, along with the cap blue goes to incoming neutral.
Left with a brown ?? Got two spaces in terminal block, one is the neutral from the lamps linked with a white from the control board, one is a purple from control board going nowhere. Doesnt work properly on either, so something is wrong.
I’m presuming the motor wiring colours which are the same on both motors are wired the same inside it ???

I dont expect anyone to have a circuit diagram for this.. Ive searched!
But if anyone has one lying around, or access to wiring diagram, let me know please.

I managed to get it it running at low speed, but with no lights by putting the brown >purple.

    Cooker hoods eh!

Try white with the blue from the cap, orange with the brown from the cap and brown connected with the incoming neutral on the chocolate block. 🙂
