Looking to buy this to replace an aging AEG Lavamat 971.

Anyone got any experience of this model?
Any better ones for around £270?

    Four people in household.
One full load every 2-3 days.

    Thanks.

Anyone? Don’t want to miss the clearance price and end up paying £80 more.

    Hi

WAE24167 good entry level Classixx machine now obsolete, good machine with the usual two year warranty.

Who has it and at what price?

Yeah, went ahead and ordered it soon as I saw your reply. Should be ok for the four of us. Not used every day.
    Thanks again 😀

    Will be here Friday 😀
Just got to prepare water supply, for some reason, there is a double connector supplying cold water to both inlets on the AEG. Trip to plumbers merchant and I’m good.

Arrived and I installed it. Old one taken away by John Lewis.
    Mums a happy bunny now.
Hope it lasts a while, not expecting anywhere near the AEG but at least 6-8 years.
Even came with a Calgon hard water tester strip. Being in South London, no prize for guessing the outcome 😀

    Cheers all.

    Question.

It doesn’t mention it in manual but should I run a service wash with a handfull of soda crystals before the first proper wash or would that have been done at the factory?

    EDIT
Reread the instruction leaflet and it recommends to do an empty run first.

    Re: Bosch WAE24167UK Washing Machine

Worked faultlessly all weekend. Did a load this morning, and it was making a noise I hadn’t heard yet.

Nothing trapped between drum and seal, sounds like motor noise. Just running a small load now, few t shirts and back to normal.

    Hi

I don’t know if it’s just my pc but the link doesn’t work

It could have been just a slight imbalance of the wash load when it reached the spin cycle.

    Re: Bosch WAE24167UK Washing Machine

Reading this brings back to me memories of those days when I not only sold brand new machines to my customers but delivered, installed and demonstrated them as well. (All part of the deal back then in the early ’80’s).

Hubby, hands in pockets, leans against the kitchen wall. Whilst his wife is asking all the questions of me…….. “….what does this button do, what’s it doing now, ooooh that’s a funny noise, my old one didn’t do that, why is this, can it do this, why doesn’t it do that…. Ooooh what’s it doing now…???”

My message to Rob3rto, relax pal, as long as you’ve installed it correctly and based strictly on the installion instructions before switching on, then it’s OK. Pour yourself a Pims and go sit outside in the sunshine. The machine will be fine, trust me, I’m in the trade. 😉

Ha, love the description Martin. I used to get the opposite. I installed PC sytems. Hubby asking all the questions while the Mrs watched in the background.
Hope all is well. Yes, installed all according to instructions, including levelling which a lot of people Lea r out.
In case someone wants to check it out….

Smooth, lovely, poetry in motion. The ideal tool for placing (in view of the machine) your teething grandchild in a baby bouncer…..asleep in seconds, bless! 😀
