Morning guys,
Over the weekend my wife put a load of washing in but after two hours when the machine told us the cycle had ended, we realised it hadn’t actually done much at all.
We later realised that it wasn’t spinning at all, although did seem to fill and drain ok.
I should say at this point, it is a Beko WM6167W machine. It is about 4 years old and in that time it has worked great except me having to replace the brushes on it about four times :eeek:
Anyway I took the motor off last night expecting it to be the brushes again although I did only replace them two months ago so thought it would be strange if it was. Anyway the brushes looked fine but I noticed one of the wires on the motor had snapped. I tried connecting them back up – wasn’t really sure how so used one of those plastic connector blocks….
Anyway every time I turn the machine on now and press ‘start’ on a spin cycle, it trips out the power after about 15 seconds.
Does any of the above give any clues about what could now be wrong with it?
If I can’t fix it myself then I have the age old dilemma of ‘do I call someone out to have a look at it or do I just buy a new machine”
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
