    Hi,

I’m trying to get the kickplate off my dishwasher. There’s no serial number to be found, so I need to look for a serial number on the water inlet valve.

It has two screws, one either side. I have removed these. The plastic facia of the kickplate unclips, this is now removed. I am left with a piece that spans the whole width of the washer, and goes back about 3 inches down each side. It slides forward about an inch, and then stops.

It is disconnected from the mains! I’m also an ex-machine wirer, so I am aware of the potential for power still being present. I hope someone can help me remove this panel!

    Steve,

Very very rarely does one actually need to remove the kick plate, besides it only accesses the pump should you need to remove it!

To get to the inlet valve, its the L/Hand Side panel that has to come off

The model and FD number is embossed on the stainless steel door panel near the door latch plate by the way.

    Hi
Depending on model you can change fill valve by popping rear panel that holds valve (is a bit tight, so removing L/H panel and disconnecting fill hose from valve; (blue; and a bugger to get on and off) as Martin said; to give you more length to extract.

Thanks for the responses. Thankfully I’ve found a dishwasher expert within driving distance, my original problem was a severe lack of engineers in the area!
