ParticipantHi, i`m looking for a little advice on what to do next with this repair.
After numerous E1, E3, broken door catch faults i am finally starting to lose patience with this cheap and nasty machine. Its now started to stick in cycle (always 1.06 in the eco 1.38min program) and the flow through heater only gets hot for approx 1 min then goes cold again before it sticks on 1.06 mins.
I have changed the thermal limiter switch (even though the old one was tested and found to be working afterwards), removed flow through heater and tested using multimeter (reads 25-30 ohms which i`m presuming means it works???), checked pcb (found one dry solder joint which has been repaired but still no change), cleaned all filters etc, checked all wiring and connections but still nothing to give me any clues how to fix it! My first thoughts were to buy a new heater, next a new pcb but i dont want to just keep throwing money at it in hope! Please help!! 😥July 4, 2014 at 7:09 pm #416259Martin

If you fancy a challenge then check out Heater relay on PCB? Personally I’d have binned it by now. 🙁

Thanks for the reply Martin, i have checked the heater relay and its working fine. I really want to bin this heap of garbage but the freezer compressor has just given up on me too so i cant afford to buy a new dishwasher at the moment too! Am i right in thinking the heater is fine as it is showing resistance or can they still be faulty?

The resistance does sound about right.

oh well, looks like the kids are gonna be busy handwashing! (probably be cheaper in the long run to buy a new dishwasher though cos they want blinking paying for everything nowadays! :rolls: ) Thanks for the help anyway, looks like i`ll have to scout ebay for some cheap parts.
