    If it is the catch broken I repaired one with a small ball bearing catch from B&Q for a customer it worked better than the original door catch.

    Get the customers permission first before carrying out any mod.

    But it is better than holding the door closed with tape like most customers do.

    No Bob it was for an insurance job and to be honest the door was goosed. I think it would take more a ball bearing catch to repair it!
    Meanwhile the customer has sealed all round it with silicone.

    That sounds like one of my cures and, funnily enough, what I’d tell the customer to do.

    Dunno why they had the stupid door in the first place, what’s up with simply opening the door like normal.

    Well that’s her best option now tbh. The problem is she hasn’t made too good a job of it!
