    Hello,

My dishwasher stopped midcycle and the control panel lights have gone out.
The on/off button still activates (clicks) and there’s power into the switch but, the control panel is still dead.

Is this the switch? or likely to be something else (thermal fuse?)

    thanks

just because a switch clicks does not mean it is working electrically

and when you say there is power to the switch what do you mean?

you need a live and neutral in and out the switch for the machine to work

I’ve checked the live & neutral cables (brown & blue) on the switch with a voltage detector (only the brown is live)

There is also 2 x black and 2 x purple cables terminating on the other side of the switch (no voltage present on any of these)

    thanks

you need live on 2 wires and neutral on 2 wires (with the switch in the on position) for the unit to function

i would use a multimeter to check continuity of the switch with the power off
