ParticipantHi there,
I have a Bosch Classixx 1200 express with a new issue (i have resolved one last year with new brushes!)
Basically whatever temp setting you put it on it gets too hot, 30 degree washes come out hot and 60 degree washed get so hot steam comes out!
On the first occasion this happened on a 60 degree wash it shut itself off, i assume – the wash cycle had not completed certainly.
Since then we have only used 30 degree washes and they complete ok but washing is far to warm. Having read the forum i came across a post mentioning emptying the pump filter so i have dutifully just done this – 2 hair grips, some bra wire, some wire and various other things that shouldn’t be in there removed once i had managed to actually get it undone!
Having not tested it yet could this have been the cause or am i looking at a thermostat issue – are they hard to replace if so?

Sounds as though the NTC needs replacing. Give us the full model number (ENr no) of your machine and we can supply the correct part number you need. Easy fix really.

Will get that bit ordered, do i need to take the heating element out or can i replace the NTC with that in situ?

In situ having initially loosened the compressed gasket clamp nut.
