    Hello all,

My Candy F 21 W Electric Fan Assisted Oven has stooped working correctly since a recent power cut.

When our power initially came back on, the oven stayed on, but when you switched it off it also remained on? I switched it off at the local isolator and left it a while. When I tried again it started instantly even though all switches were in the off position.

Again I switched off locally and left it a couple of days.

Now the oven turns on as requested but no heat is produced. Everything lights up and the fan starts OK as expected.

Therefore I’m not sure what effect the power cut has had on it and wondered if anyone had any ideas or know of any websites that may help me further? Could it simply be the element that’s faulty?

Any advice or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Andrew

It is plausible that the symptons you have described may be casued by an earth leak through the fan oven element, which has subsequently blown completely. Replacing a fan oven element is generally pretty straight forward as it is concealed behind the oven cavity rear panel. It may be best to get some pro help in view of the other problems you have described.

Check Repairs@ or Directories for a repairer in your area.

If you’re going to have a look, pull the plug first.
