Hi,
I had a Samsung RL60GRERS1/XEF fridge freezer delivered on Thursday, plugged it in today and it was totally dead. Not a light lit. Thinking it might just be a wire that had come loose I investigated the point where the power cable enters the box at the top (weird place for a cable to enter a two metre tall appliance). I removed two screws and the service panel and quickly saw that a circuit board was snapped in half.

It does not appear to be secured in any way so I guess it just happened during transit. Perhaps the delivery men dropped it. One of the light fittings inside the fridge was also out of place but clicked back in.
What would you do now in my place? Demand a replacement? Ask for a refund and buy a different model? Get a Samsung tech to come and fix it? Something else?
I’m a bit concerned it might just be trouble from now even if I get it fixed. The wiring that I’ve seen looks pretty shoddy. Take that stretched earth wire at the bottom of the picture for example.
I’ll call the shop that supplied it on Monday morning and tell them it doesn’t work but guess it’s probably not a good idea to tell them I removed the service panel.
