    Hi all.

I have a Bosch washing machine that is only 2 years old and I am having terrible trouble with the smell.

The funny thing is the drum does not smell neither do the clothes. It is only whilst the machine is in use thar we have a vile ‘fish’ smell.

I have run a multitude of 90 degree maintenance washes with cleaning products (Dr Beckmann, Soda Crystals, White Vinegar) several times in the washing machine and down all associated pipe work. Kitchen sink etc…

Any help would be appreciated many thanks

The heater terminals are burning by the sound of it. Not uncommon with Bosch. 🙁

Your joking!!! I thought it was a bacteria problem 🙁 is this expensive to fix/replace or would I be looking at a new machine?

    Thanks for your help

Could be worth checking the condition of the socket outlet and 13A plugtop (or other means of mains supply connection, e.g. isolator switch etc). Have seen this responsible for fishy smell.
Be sure to turn off power before any dimantling anything.
For your safety it would be best to employ an Experienced professional electrician if any part of the electrical installation needs replacing, as they will inspect and test appropriately.
