ParticipantDe Dietrich DTI714V induction hob. Nr:- 10 17 05092. Typ:- LE6KOXI. DTI714V3.
Switch on at the mains; blip heard and buttons don’t function. If you persist the the odd light comes up but as soon as you alter the setting the display goes dead. Pressed and held the child lock many times – even that light sporadically comes on. 😕
There is power to both sides (induction PCB’s) and they are wired completely independently from each other…..apart from the control PCB. This is the only thing the two ‘sides’ share; so could (or do) these control PCB’s fail? I note that Connect list them second on their parts search and stock them, so there may be something in that? 😉Just need a heads up on this….anyone had this fault or similar?
Cheers,
Steve.

Don’t quote me on it but I think that control pcb is powered by one of the main pcb’s. When I have had this issue on SMeg ones (made by DD)just changing the control pcb has made no difference.

Used to do quite a lot of these under warranty. This might sound stupid but if you switch both pcb’s around i.e. left to r/side and right to l/side, you can sometimes get them to work.
Failing that it can be either left or right pcb or both and/or touch button pcb.You can do any of these things then you get called back a few months later for similar fault.
Due to the cost I would try switching them and if this doesn’t work it’s probably not worth it. -
