DI620UK Hotpoint dishwasher, heating straight away.

Hi,

I went out to a Hotpoint dishwasher that the customer says intermittently would start the program then go dead. She would open the door and the element was glowing red. I went to take a look and obviously it worked every time I tried it for 3/4 of an hour.
They have since sent me a video of the appliance going wrong. It shows them opening the door and the 2 light is flashing. They switch the on off button on and off and then set programme 2. I don’t think the flashing light is a fault code because they didn’t need to keep the programme button depressed to get the lights moving along. They leave the machine running, it beeps and starts to drain, then lets water in for 30 seconds as it should. Then it goes dead, they open the machine and the element is glowing.
Does this machine heat instantly on programme no.2, I just can’t remember. If it does then I would think the motor or capacitor is faulty. But if it doesn’t it has got to be module hasn’t it.
Can anybody help shed any light on whether this machine and whether it heats straight away on prog 2.
